BOY at Chinaplas 2013
Guangzhou / China is again this year the international stage during which the entire plastic industry comes together. BOY will be represented by demonstrating two injection moulding machines in the German pavilion in hall 5.1 / booth J 21. Along with a BOY 35 E equipped with the energy-efficient servo-drive, a two-component application will be shown.
Quick access to multiple component technology
A two-component application can be realized on any injection-moulding machine without much effort. By using several injection units, multiple component production is possible.
The extremely flexible 2nd injection unit is from the BOY XS and is equipped with its own hydraulic drive and Procan ALPHA ® control. Different sized injection units with plasticizing volumes up to a maximum of 64 cm³ are available. The complete control and hydraulic unit is placed next to a basic machine. Wheels make the unit portable, so it can be easily moved and connected to other injection moulding machines.
Efficient machine technology
Equipped with a servo-drive, which clearly out performs conventional hydraulic drive systems in terms of efficiency, precision and quietness, the BOY 35 E will produce a polycarbonate watch housing. The four-tie bar machine with a clamping force of 350 kN, a footprint of only 1,9 m², and a cantilevered clamping unit, provides enough space for large moulds. A lateral swivel-out injection unit, which clearly reduces the changing times of the complete plasticizing unit, is yet another advantage of this machine.
Without fear of contact
Both machines will be equipped with the multi-patented Procan ALPHA control. It has set standards for precision, dynamics and ease of use. The 15¡° full-touch display with brilliant LCD-LED technology is designed with minimal text on the screen pages and memorable symbols. The digital help function for the machine control, which will be provided in the native language, will be particularly well received.
Alternatively, BOY injection moulding machines can be equipped with the revolutionary Procan ALPHA ® 2. The main difference is the multi-touch capability of the new system. Like with modern communication devices, operating functions like scrolling or page changes are now achieved by swiping. Compared with previous foil-touch systems, the new Procan ALPHA ® 2 PCT touch technology guarantees longer-lasting functionality. A recalibration of the screen is no longer required and the touch-surface has been protected against damage with a stable safety glass cover.
